Broadband drops every night from around midnight
My broadband drops every night around 11.30pm-12am. It's then super intermittent all later night early morning hours but then fine in the am when we wake up and through the day. All of our boxes settings are off eco, set to none. Our main skyQ box is hard wired to the sky router. Makes no difference. When it goes the WiFi and wired connection goes. I've reset the router, unplugged it etc nothing seems to help it.
ready to throw it in the bin..please help!!

Re: Broadband drops every night from around midnight
Same here, 3 nights this week around 2am service was lost. Each time it happened the sky hub reset and had to go through the startup process again, this happened a couple times over a 15-20 minute period before service restored. I was wondering if my hub was starting to fail however the fact it is happening around the same time and perfect the rest of the day makes me wonder if its some type of service maintenance.
But as someone who relies on the service overnight it has been a ltitle frustrating this week. I miss sky having a page where they publicly posted there maintenance schedules.

Re: Broadband drops every night from around midnight
Have you asked them to send you out s booster to see if thaf helps as i had to change to sky due to my last provider couldnt reach my bedroom i only have 2 devices on my wifi and its not strong enough to reach my room that 2 seconds away from the router i thought sky would be a better choice as i didnt want the same problem but ive had it 4 days now and it keeps failing in my room

It could be overnight maintenance taking place.
If it still down later then the first thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.
After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Broadband drops every night from around midnight
When this happens between midnight and 7am it's quite possibly going to be essential overnight maintenance taking place which is carried out then to minimise disruption as most customers are asleep. It has to be done at some stage.
Remember that Sky Broadband being discussed here is a domestic service and those customers working from home will not receive additional or quicker support.

@Tegz1 it is not quite as simple as that. Sky will supply up to 3 boosters but you have to pay for extra for the add-on Sky Max WiFi service. That link explains how to get boosters in they are required.

Re: Broadband drops every night from around midnight
Yep I've had this behaviour start just this week too. Never had issues with my hub before. I've counted 4 or 5 nights in a row now. Its just done it now so I'm using my mobile data to post here. Interesting to see others having it this week too. I know Sky do maintenance this time of night but every night this week?! Seems unusual.

Re: Broadband drops every night from around midnight
Having the same issue, fourth night in a row now. First one was 1:30am, every one since has been 2am near enough on the dot. Same message about a "firmware update".
