Broadband down in Glasgow Southside

Our broadband has been down since midday on Tuesday 29th April.

I've been in contact with Sky and both the app and the guy I got on the phone advised that it was an open
reach outage and there was literally nothing Sky could do.

Is anyone in the Glasgow area experiencing similar?

Both my partner and I work from home so it's fairly disappointing. We have a Sky Glass, Sky TV, Sky Broadband and both our mobiles are with Sky. I've had to change the broadband to Virgin but are we entitled to any compensation?

If there is an external issue somewhere then Openreach work to repair such issues within 3-5 working days unless the issue involves digging up roads etc which can take longer so when you spoke to Sky were you given any date they were due to go the location and repair it ?

In the UK the service level agreement between ISP’s and Openreach for fixing a fault is 2 WORKING DAYS.

This link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk for UK customers.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when Sky are notified of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day). There is no equivalent scheme in place for customers in the Republic of Ireland.

As Sky broadband discussed here is a domestic set up there is no extra or quicker support for those working from home.
