Broadband delay for fibre via open reach and no update on 16/10

Hi

I was promised an update on my broadband delay as per below

Hi, just a quick update on your order. Openreach have told us they need to lay cable casing into the ground, which will protect the cabling needed to provide you a service. After this, Openreach can start laying the ground cables into the casing. More work will be needed before we can give you an installation appointment date. don't worry, your billing for Broadband and Talk won't start until your services have been activated. we're already working hard to get your order back on track, and we'll text you when new updates are available. You can view new updates and messages in here (My messages).

You will receive an SMS with an update on your order on 16/10/2025.

no one has contacted me. Please help! Thanks

Unfortunately until the groundwork is actually done, any such update is going to be 'nothing has happened'.  Openreach client ISPs don't have visibility of Openreach personnel and equipment availability for that kind of task.
