Re: Broadband delay compensation Ireland
@TimmyBGood Sky Ireland could have their own scheme which is what I hope the forum team can check for us. The request is in.

Re: Broadband delay compensation Ireland
That is brilliant thanks for your help. If they do then great but if they don't I'm just unfortunate but after they get back to you remind me to mark you as question answered, thanks

Thank you very much I'd like to make sure just incase they do it through another company in Ireland thanks
Try the COMREG website (the regulator for Ireland) to see if there are details of the compensation scheme there.

@Luke+Samuel after checking this out the forum team confirm what you were told that there is no compensation for delayed provisioning in ireland. I have asked the confusing web page removed.

Re: Broadband delay compensation Ireland
Hey @Luke+Samuel
Welcome to the Community Forum 😊
I am sorry to hear about your delayed provisioning, I've double checked with our ROI Team and they confirmed that sadly at the moment there is no compensation for this type of problems.
Thank you for bringin the article about it to our attention! We made the right steps to get it removed till a correct one can replace it. I do apologise for the confusion it caused.
You can make a complaint about your case following any of the options here:

I hope it will get resolved for you soon!

That would require intervention by the market regulator (ComReg) so I suspect 'soon' is not really applicable.

Re: Broadband delay compensation Ireland
The compensation scheme in the UK was introduced by Ofcom, and participation by ISPs is voluntary (but strongly encouraged)
In the Republic it's ComReg who perform that regulatory role, and an industry wide compensation scheme would have to come from them: that kind of thing typically takes years to get into place even assuming it's something they choose to do.

Re: Broadband delay compensation Ireland
Thanks, I was talking to Sky and it's finally being sent to ESB and I got some good will offers and credits from them which helped soften the blow a tiny bit save some money on my bill
