Broadband connectivity is just getting worse.

Sky internet is so poor.
after months of internet dropping out, directly connected to the router.
they advised me, after I was about to leave and use Starlink,  that is was my overhead copper connection and that an upgrade to fibre installed in the same fashion would correct these issues.
so signed up and got my new fibre.
has the issue been resolved.
no and no as I sit here after two weeks of connections my internet is continuously dropping off.
Thisbis not WiFi but actual internet where I only have one green power LED light showing.
1-2mins later it comes back.

this is happening at all hours of day and night.
terrible service and cannot wait to discuss why after two weeks my internet is not even achieving my min 400mbs, max I've seen is 240mbs with speeds down to 120mbs.
sky you need investment in your server farms.  Or do you  rent them from a third party.
high cost, poor services and poor excuses.  Always an open reach issues when it was copper.

Could you post your syslog in the support tab in your sky router later on this morning .  Normally if it was the wan dropping you'd still expect devices on the lan and wifi to remain connected.  What happens to the power does that remain green or does it go out as well ?  Can you plug the hub into a different electric socket?

Re: Broadband connectivity is just getting worse.

morning,

below is snapshop of the router settings as requested.

This is the 3rd router installed, and as such I have ongoing internet connectivity issues 24/7 where the internet is dropping out.

This is not WiFi related, as I connect my PC direct to the router.

Each time the Router when the issue starts only shows the power on LED.

All other LED's are off.

this is th esetting with internet in working order, I will try and capture settings when the internet drops again and issue.

regards.

@Longstrider the stats show that the hub restarted some 12 hours before you took those stats and that the WAN and Internal connections have run since that time with no obvious issues with stability. You are on a 550Mb/s connection.

There could be issues with your home network as the stats show 47 collisions which is not something we like to see. It is vanishingly unlikely that 3 hubs have had the same fault and given your post is not reporting a common fault it is most likely an issue in your home network. You do not have Sky Q boxes as you orginally posted in the Stream board which can cause this type of error. Itvwould help if you describe your network set up particularly any devices using both wifi and ethernet at the same time, switches etc?

Those s350 appear to be managed switches  whereas to make things simple its best to use unmanaged switches unless of course you have set them all up on reserved lan ip addresses.

Put that on hold for the minute according to different websites they can be managed or unmanaged . Are there any other letters and numbers that are on your switches?

Re: Broadband connectivity is just getting worse.

Th emodel is GS308v3 unmanaged switch, which I have three of them.......I am lookin ginto reducing the collision packets, which can slow down the internet, but I cannot see wnay evidence that would stop traffic completey and shut off the internet where the LED's shut down completly.

research goes on.

Re: Broadband connectivity is just getting worse.

The power light on the 2nd hub I replaced the power light used to go out as well, this hub the power light stays on ok.

just the other three lights go out.

one instance the internet was down, but there were three green lights and the coice LED was orange, I powered down the router and that all re-set ok.

Its not the socket I have tested that and its on the same office CCT as the monitor, and the socket I have proven does not drop power. I was an electrican in my past trade, so I am happy with the power at the moment.....there is no evidence of surging either.
