Broadband connection

Does the sky engineer need access to a communal aerial to connect broadband?  Sky TV is being connected at a later date

@Mike62x  Broadband does not get connected to the aerial. It is either connected via your phone socket or if you are having fibre installed then this is done by other means.

They may need access to any internal switching room/comms room to test the connection between your phone socket and the any internal switchboard.

Sky broadband, like that from all similar ISPs, is delivered over Openreach copper or optical cabling.

'Satellite by internet' is a thing, but Sky is not a satellite ISP and typically a communal dish would not be suitable.
