For the last week my broadband download speed as been half the speed as normal, down from 74Mb/s to ~ 38Mb/s and then this morning the connection keeps dropping and reconnecting. My Sky broadband checker reports all green although speed to hub is "poor". No way for me to book an engineer to visit or any further details to contact Sky.
I have tested all the ususal things, reboot, changed cable from socket to router, checked speed when plugged via ethernet to router and still at half speed.
What next? Anyone have the correct contact number for Sky?

At the time you posted there was no fault but if you say it goes from 70Mbps to 38Mbps then that wouldn't be unheard of

This is the exact same problem i have currently got. My downstream speed on the routher states 78863, but i am only getting 38mb. Had an engineer out but unfortunatly on the day the speed was back to normal so got no answers.
The only temp fix i have gound is to dissconnect and reconnect via the sky hub hub and the speed immediately goes back up to over 70mb. This lasts around 24 hours before dropping back to 38mb.
Don't know why, it has been fine for years...
