Broadband - cannot change Wifi name/password

 Hiya!

Yesterday Sky installed broadband in my flat, which is all fine and works OK! But when I log in http://192.168.0.1 and try to change WiFi name and password and click Apply it says “Connection was lost” and I am unable to proceed. I have tried it on my phone, and iPad (safari and Firefox browsers), same issue every time. Also when I’m in the MySky app and click on Product Settings it says the below.

Do I need to wait further for Sky to update my account or is this something that was supposed to work from the start?

Thank you!

@LucyTr how you change the Wifi name and password depends on which hub Sky have sent you. If it is black use these instructions https://www.sky.com/help/articles/find-and-change-your-wireless-password but if at all possible dont use an Apple ios device as if using one of those the settings are not saved. The loss of connection is normally as when you try to save the settings the hub restarts which switches off the wifi connection you were using and restarts using the new details if the change sticks. Ideally use a device that has an ethernet port. If stuck with using Apple devices use Chrome and expect it may take a couple of attempts.

If the hub is white all of the settings are changed via the My Sky app but it can take 24 to 48 hours for Sky to update your app however try closing and re-opening the app.

@Dave+Moyse the hub address is 192.168.0.1 by default but dont add anything like http etc just type numbers and full stops. The guide I linked to in the above post still works for me.
