Broadband and phoneline

Do you NEED to have a phoneline in order to have broadband? I have Sky Q. I am paying for a phoneline even though I do not have a phone.

You would need to contact sky on 150 from your landline or
zero three three three seven five nine one zero one eight from any other phone if your line still includes line rental as line rental is currently not charged and hasn't for a while

The line rental is free and you only pay for phonecalls made if you have pay as you talk.  Other than that you do need a copper line or fibre optic for the broadband itself

I have been charged for my line rental since I moved to Sky. Now I read that you don't need a phoneline if you have Q.
