Openreach called yesterday and replaced a socket which seems to have cleared the problem. Did think my Sky Router was bit outdated but that is another situation.

Re: Broadband and phone line
Have you run the online tests for your line to see if it finds any faults:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.
After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.
If this is of no help give Sky a call to report it to them.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Broadband and phone line
@Highlinder check that either the hub is plugged into a prefiltered socket with two outlets or is using a working line filter typically your fault is caused by poor filtering. You can buy line filters cheaply from hardware stores etc.

Re: Broadband and phone line
@Chrisee That is what I was going to ask next if the phone was connected to an external filter or into a filtered faceplate.
