Broadband and Sky talk set up

I joined Sky today being fed up with Virgin and things have not gone well.

A messy television installation and no broadband. I was informed today that my broadband and the porting of my landline number would be completed today yet at 19.29 no broadband.

I do hope the service improves

The broadband activation can take up until 2359hrs.

@paulstanleyj you have been unfortunate as Openreach's engineers who do the work were on strike on Friday and Monday so are still catching up. Acyivations can take place up until midnight but Sky will only know what is going on tomorrow when the system Openreach uses updates.

Thank you for your reply. Sky should not then have confirmed that my broadband would be connected today, luckily I have not disconnected my Virgin broadband but it is costing me more than the Sky subscription.

Also I received a text from Openreach at 4.30pm saying that my case had been allocated and was in progress, when I contacted the person he denied having been allocated the case.

I hope I don't regret switching provider
