Broadband Speeds Extremely Low

The Sky 'service checker' states there is nothing wrong and the speed is "440MB/s". However, this is not the case and I am receiving barely 10MB/s... I have reset the router via admin settings, I have disconnected all devices, forgot network on devices and set back up.. Nothing works.

How are you connecting your devices to the router?

Wireless, both 2.4GHz and 5GHz

Wifi is notoriously flaky unfortunately and Sky guarantee a speed to your hub as opposed to for WiFi inside a property. 

 

If you can connect via Ethernet I would.

 

If not you could try changing the WiFi channels as other devices and that of your neighbours are likely filling the air with interference.

 

Sky Max provides a booster to extend the WiFi signal across your property for a monthly fee, or you could look for homeplugs instead.

Here are some images to illustrate what I'm dealing with... Yes I have called Sky, no none of their 'suggestions' help.

I will refresh the channels again, but I think this is something I've already tried multiple times... It's very frustrating

You could try Sky Max (have a chat with Sky and see what they suggest). 

 

Ethernet cables are the way to go if possible. 

 

If not, I would look to homeplugs.

However, there is only 1 80MHz channel available to select for the 5GHz settings

5ghz provides more throughput but over a shorter distance than 2.4ghz.

Same. We are seemingly being capped at 10mbps today. Cant find any reason to explain why on any status page.

Sky don't cap WiFi speeds. 

 

Might be worth trying an app like WiFiman to see which channels are congested so you can move to another one.

Line checker in account says they can't fix issue and to phone them. But lines aren't open to call. They clearly having tech issue they not announcing in my area.

So your speed is limited because of an issue with the line?

Just phoned tech support. They are sending an open reach engineer on Monday as yes they confirmed an issue with our line.
