@squib6 I have just received a text from Sky saying "A repair ship is needed to fix the damaged subsea cable causing your outage""

At least they have updated the situation, even if we knew that days ago!!

Can you remember where you signed up to recieve updates? I must not have signed up to that.

@squib6 I think it was on a phone call about a previous issue. It asked if you wanted to be kept updated by text then press 1.

Thanks I'll have to attempt to phone when I'm off work if this is still ongoing.

Re: Broadband Outage in Shetland Islands for SKY customers

@squib6  Unfortunately, To leave tge contract I think speeds have to drop to a seriously low speed.  For instance I get 41mbps on a 67 mbps package tgat I feel is terribly low. But I think they see below 30mbps low. But after only being with them a month, and them now also not calling me back as promised, sending me a Puk that didn't work when they agreed my internet was too weak for one, then charging me £38 for the Puk when they agreed I'd returned it..... Ive had so many calls with them in one month. I don't think I ever spoke to my last ISP.  That's why I would prefer to pay double and just get a lovely service.
