Broadband Hub awaiting despatch

  • We had our installation date on Tuesday, but when the guy turned up we realised our hub had not been delivered. Sky have told us that it's a glitch and the IT team need to change the status from "awaiting despatch" before they can send it out. In the meantime, we're stuck with no broadband, tv, phone etc. It's now Friday and they still haven't been able to send one out. Has anyone else experienced this problem? We've been told this is highly unusual, but obviously this doesn't help us...

Although it is a number of years ago now, a similar thing happened to me. My line went activate but I had no hub so I called Sky and it turned up a few days later. There isn't much you can do unless you have another spare one that you can use, if not is will be a case of waiting for it to turn up and when it does ring Sky back and ask them about applying a credit to your account to account for the number of days you have had no service.
