Broaband speed keeps dropping to 90mB
Hi,
Our broadband has been sluggish while streaming etc, not really noticeable while browsing. As I have been away working I have not noticed it. I have now got home and done some research, turns out my average speed has been approx 90Mb all of July, we pay for 500, minimum 400! Have tried restarting the router ONT etc no improvement. IKt did go back to full speed briefly but then defaults back to under 100 again. Did the test line procedure through the website and it says it has been elevated to the network team but could take 72hours!! How has this not been picked up befopre now, usually I do regular checks myself but I have been away, is thera a number I can call to try and sort this out, over a month well below minimum speed is not on!!

Re: Broaband speed keeps dropping to 90mB
My only thought on this is it sounds like the speed is being limited to 100mbps by the interface. This can often happen if the ethernet cable between your Openreach ONT & Sky hub is faulty. Have you tried replacing this cable?

Thanks for your reply,
Dont think it would be the cable as if I reboot the router it goes back to full speed, albeit for a short period, will give it a try though. I suspect the router is playing up.
