Boosters still not connected after outage
Hey,
After storm Daragh, my broadband was down for three days due to an outage. The broadband itself is now working, but only in the sitting room where it comes in and I have my main router. My two boosters can't get a signal. I tried to troubleshoot this with Sky Support yesterday, and it appears to be a known issue. I was wondering if there is any update. I have tried to reconnect boosters to the main router twice after talking to Sky.

Re: Boosters still not connected after outage
Reboot the main hub and see if re connects the booster. If not then reset the booster by pressing the rear reset button for 20 seconds, then re sync it with the hub by pressing the wps button on the hub and then the wps button on the booster.
You might need to take the boosters closer to the hub initially to get them to sync, it once they have you can move them back to where you need them to be.

Re: Boosters still not connected after outage
Thank you, but that's exactly what I've been doing. I would specifically want to know if this issue has been resolved at Sky's end.

Re: Boosters still not connected after outage
I don't think it's a sky issue because I had exactly the same issue and doing as I described fixed it for me.
the booster is just like any other device really. It just connects to the hub, after which it transmits a signal that other devices can see. If it's not connecting then it could be a hub issue, but I suspect the boosters are just being temperamental and struggling to see the hub.
can't really offer any more advice than to keep trying or hopefully get some tech support relating to the hub.

Re: Boosters still not connected after outage
Hi @Francis0882
As @Axel905 has mentioned, your problem can't be a general 'Sky issue' because Sky cant control your local WiFi conditions, either the boosters work or they dont.
Sky may need to replace them if you cant get them to re-sync close to the hub

Re: Boosters still not connected after outage
With respect, I disagree because Sky themselves indicated this was happening to others after the outage and told me to be patient - which I'm not.🤷🏻♀️
