Being disconnected 2 days before home move

Why am i being disconnected 2 days before i move house, i have sky glass and need my broadband to power my tv

This is normal practice for a home move as you cant have broaband running at two different addresses at the same time. Usually your connection will be terminated at your old house 1-2 days before the move.
