Every home is different as wifi signal strength will vary according to the layout, type of construction and the level of interference from neighbour's networks. In many homes including my own the free Sky hub is insufficent to give decent wifi in every room.
You can buy the Wifi Max package from Sky which lists at £10 per month but is normally is cheaper. Thst gives you a better hub and up to 3 extender units but that requires an engineer to visit and agree they are needed. Alternstively you can buy one of the many third party kits.

@JulietteAHDo you get ok speed connection over WiFi when next to/near the router. If so then it is your environment/home construction/interference causing the issue. Unless you have something on your sky package where there is a wifi guarantee there isnt anything a sky engineer can do.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these. Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.
