Re: Awful Speeds over WiFi and Ethernet
That's a problem for me because I have a Samsung mobile and rely on calls over WiFi because there's no mobile network signal where I live.

Re: Awful Speeds over WiFi and Ethernet
Could you post a screenshot of an ethernet speedtest?

Re: Awful Speeds over WiFi and Ethernet
Something really isnt right with your line or the device there, the latency should be nowhere near that high on a FTTP connection & obviously your speed is way down. What is the model of the laptop? Is it direct ethernet e.g. your not using powerline or anything like that? Do you have another ethernet device you can test with?

Re: Awful Speeds over WiFi and Ethernet
@jamesn123 it's a HP EliteBook 840 G6
I work over WiFi. The ethernet connection is used by my daughter for work and gaming. Her PC doesn't have a WiFi adapter.

Re: Awful Speeds over WiFi and Ethernet
Then it seems your work laptop is the problem. Is it using some sort of VPN or special network firewall?

Re: Awful Speeds over WiFi and Ethernet
I don't connect over VPN for work, but undoubtedly there are network firewalls in place. I'm not technically competent enough to say any more than that.
