Are the new white sky routers buggy?
Having a connection issue with the new router and the sky box.
Have been able to connect using another provider and enter password rather than use WPS looks like others have had the same issue recently, is this a known bug?
Are we waiting on updates for the router?
I've given up being able to sustain a connection to my LG TV. Constantly dropping connection and having to re-enter password, super frustrating.
Just wondering if sky are aware of glitches and working on any fixes?? 🧐

Re: Are the new white sky routers buggy?
As with all firmware bugs get fixed and the system updates regularly for all Sky products.
But LG TVs don't have the best wireless system and it is more likely that range and interference from neighbourhood wireless systems is causing most of the issues.
LG TVs will connect by ethernet and using a cable or ethernet homeplugs over powerline would likely solve the issue, ethernet over powerline adapters usually only cost about £20-£30 these days.

Re: Are the new white sky routers buggy?
@Christina1984111 the new white Sky Max hub unlike the older black Sky hubs is not fully compatible with the Sky Q TV system. You can link a main Sky Q box to the new hub and you can use the WPS button or the password as either should work. However any Sky Q Minis or Sky boisters you have cannot be connected to the hub they have to be connected to your main Sky Q box using WPS but the wifi hotspots the Q boxes offered will no longer work for your other devices.
If you need to connect other devices and the hub's WiFi isnt strong enough then you can either buy Sky's WiFi Max bundle and ask for an extender or buy your own WiFi system and use that instead. The newer Sky Stream/Glass TV kit is fully compatible with the new units. Sky Q is getting near the end of its life and its networking uses an older mesh system given satellite broadcasting has a limited future Sky have stopped developing the Q boxes.
Hope that helps.

Worth noting that the Max Hub was released more than a year ago, and has received multiple updates since then based on customer feedback and its own telemetry.

Re: Are the new white sky routers buggy?
I changed the WiFi security password level from WPA3-T to WPA2 through the sky app. It says if you have issues connecting to certain (maybe older) devices. So switch away from the Default WPA3-T. I haven't tried the WPA3, just WPA2 and so far so good. My LG tv has stayed connected.....for now 😀
