Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
Recently signed up to Full Fibre 900 with Sky and got sent the 4.2 router not the WiFi Max with WiFi 6 as advertised on the website. Found out that these latest hubs are not available due to a shortage, and I'm now having WiFi dips in certain rooms.
Does anyone know if they are now available as I'd like mine changing to what was advertised as soon as possible.

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
@JacksonFamily4 What is sky CS telling you about if/when available they will/will not be sent. If you have sky Max and the subscription addon, are paying for it all then only sky can advise the current situation!

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
All they are saying is that I have to keep contacting them to see if there are any updates, they won't just send them out. I thought there may be someone on here who may have more news on it rather than constantly sitting on the end of a phone.

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
@JacksonFamily4 The Forum would have no way off knowing sky's current stock levels, if they say keep calling to you then that is the advice given. The SR203 4.2 that you have in comparison to the EE Smarthub+ plus was just a little bit faster than the sky, not by much, EE dropped the pooch in Feb with the forced FW upgrade to the + and completely messed up a reasonable ISP router, all that can be said about that subject not to mention anything about smart wireless devices from EE.....

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
Would you advise looking in to an alternative mesh solution like the
TP-Link Deco X50 (3-Pack) rather than waiting on a solution from Sky?

@Hilly Are you same as the original poster, waiting for sky Max and the Pod's to bolster the wi-fi signal when they become available from sky, do you know if you are paying the extra for max at present in your billing. As before Forum has no idea about sky's stocks off hardware.

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
I am not paying for Max but was informed in March that by the install date, early May, it would be available. House was perfect with virgin before.....but our sky q box and 4 mini boxes constantly lost connection with the virgin hub, I was hoping moving over to sky's fastest broadband would cure this but unfortunately this hasn't worked, I have had to run Ethernet cables everywhere as a temporary fix so we can actually work from home as before this we couldn't, we don't live in an old house so I'm assuming the basic sky hub is very lame. I am just out of my cooling off period so unsure how I go about cancelling and the costs associated, , I have rang sky every week for 4 weeks and they cannot confirm a WiFi max date. I will have to go back to Virgin. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
Yes the 4.2 hub just doesn't cut it. They shouldn't be able to advertise the top end package with a specific router then not be able to supply it. I could take it further. I'm giving them another 2 weeks before doing so. I had the EE hub with boosters and it was vastly superior to this Sky hub.

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
@JacksonFamily4 The superusers have reached out to one off the product managers and are still waiting on that being reported to them, as soon as they find out what the status is then it will be reported, problems with supply chain no doubt....

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
@Hilly Not sure but think the combination of all that Q and mini's is way above the max that would even be allowed on a Sky Max system, so not 100% sure where you would even stand with such.

Re: Are the Sky Wifi Max and Pods available yet?
@Hilly seitching from the black Sky hub 4 to the white Sky Max hub thst comes as part of the WiFi Max package is likely to make your Sky Q boxes connection issues worse not better. The black hub was designed to work with your Sky Q boxes allowing each Q box to act as a wifi hot spot. The new white hub cannot do that and while in theory it is a little faster there can be issues with interference in homes with multiple Q boxes like yours as you end up with 2 wifi networks one running the Q boxes and one for your other devices. Incidentally The hub 4 andthe new hub 6 have very similar WiFi range.
Your set up should work so talk to Sky and explain you are having issues and Sky should send out an engineer to stabilise your system. However you can try to set things up yourself. Starting with the closest Q box and press its wps button so the led starts flashing then go to the hub and press its wps button (its on the right hand edge and can be difficult to see but its there) the two units should connect. Then repeat the process with the next Q box using the wps button on the hub or the connected Q box if its closer. When all lf the Q boxes are connected your other devices should be able to conect by wifi to the Q box or hub they are close to as they become nodes in a wifi mesh network. You should only need ethernet cables to a box to far from any other node to connect but if covenient leave the ethernet as that will help with speeds as the Q boxes will use that connection for backhaul speeding up the hotspots.
The Sky Q system is getting old and the mesh technology they use is no longer available which is why the new white hub cannot use the Q boxes as wifi hotspots. If you intend to stick with Sky Q upgrading to the Sky WiFi Max package is often a backward step.
