Apple device won't stay connected to wifi

My WiFi is working, with fast speeds, on all devices in my home except for my Apple ipad. When streaming, it plays for about 5 mins then disconnects from WiFi.

I have turned off private WiFi address already and tried resetting network settings on the device. It doesn't give any further information apart from unable to connect.

If I restart the ipad it will reconnect and stream for another 5 mins or so then disconnect again.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

@JA27

Apple and Sky's AI-assisted security features seem to be having an issue currently, and Sky are working on new firmware to fix the issue but it won't be released until late January. Unfortunately, AI isn't able to identify the equipment accordingly and allow access to the internet, IMHO.

I've posted an article on another thread about AI security for you to read.

Re: Apple device won't stay connected to wifi

Hi, thanks for update.

Just to confirm- still happening with recent sky hub (we only moved to sky from BT about 3 months ago). Hopefully fixed in the late Jan update as painful trying to use the ipad at the moment

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@JA27 is you ipad a wifi only model or does it have a mobile sim? If the latter is it switching to using mobile data?

@mae-3 I have multiple Apple devices none of which is having issues connecting to either a SR203 or SR213 - l have both hubs which can be switched over -  and not seen reports beyond the known Home Pod issue of other users having a problem with Apple kit..
