Anyone using a TP-Link Deco XE75 Tri band Mesh

Anyone own this Mesh system.

It uses 6Ghz band as backhaul and the 5Ghz & 2.4Ghz for client.

Wanted to know  if the dedicated 6Ghz backhaul is really good as they claim. Can it deliver close to similiar speed and latency to the satelite unit as the primary unit.

With dual band router the satelite speed drops to about 60% as its using the same 2 bands for backhaul and clients.

@Sayek NO you are going the wrong way, 6Ghz does not have the penetration on wireless!

This is what you get with Asus Tri-band!

Re: Anyone using a TP-Link Deco XE75 Tri band Mesh

Thanks @JimM1 I appreciate the 6Ghz range is not great but the my 2 units are only seperated 20ft and just 1 wall/ceiling...(next room upstairs bedroom. The current dual band mesh is holding decent decent signal -43db between the nodes.

Is the 6Ghz really that bad that it only works in clear sight without any obstruction.

So would I be better off with a tripple band with 5Ghz + 5Ghz + 2.4Ghz so backhaul is a dedicated 5Ghz?

The trouble with Asus is you need to sell a organ to purchase a tri band mesh.

@Sayek You may wish to look at the Tp-Link PRO version, although not tri band up front think that they may have a hidden wireless wi-fi back haul, you should see if you can find a Tp-Link user to confirm the fact! x50 you have is just not going to cutt it for you as looking like you are heading down the speed trap!

Re: Anyone using a TP-Link Deco XE75 Tri band Mesh

@JimM1 Its not really about the speed TBH.

I am just looking at options of getting a tri band Mesh into sons bedroom and wire his PC from satelite unit.

Really looking for feedback from tri band mesh users how strong connection is betwen the 2 nodes. I appreciate it won't be same as connecting direct to the primary unit..but how good would people rate it.

TP-Link pro version is just the added option of 2.5Gb port compared to the standard version of 1Gb

Unforetunately taking wire from main router to bedroom is not a option.

BTW I only have about 10 devices connected to the internet...most of the focus is on sons PC gaming 😊

Re: Anyone using a TP-Link Deco XE75 Tri band Mesh

@Sayek Have you managed to find out yet if you have the internal or the external issue with the TBB graph you are using! Assume you have access to them all, if external then every day more than likely during peak, if internal day's when you where not doing anything or gone for the evening will be quiet, latency figures you had where not over dramatic, the packet loss is what you need to Focus on!

Running 2 Asus xt8's and 2 Asus RP-AX58's mixture off wired/wireless AI Mesh, AV1000 runing in AV600 mode Tp_link wired/wireless hanging on the Main XT8 Ethernet NIC 3 Nodes not speed cared about on those in the slightest, Ring and Sat system on the Tp's!

@Sayek Having done it Tp-Link 3 Deco X50's and 3 M5, one outdoor x50 rating all wireless mesh, nothing overly complicated for a friend who would not listen value 2 out off 10, operation 3 out off 10, and Tp-Link is quite good kit.

Apart from his outdoor, 2 Asus units would have done the same, value wise would have been the same. Tp-Link he was used too so that was a plus for him, and did take about 3 weeks to fine tune the whole mesh system.

Tp-Link One Mesh range off product's have a hidden mesh for the wireless wi-fi backhaul and you may be able to see it using a scanner app, pretty sure my netspot shows hidden, but not using any just now so cannot check!
