Anybody seen any sign of a new sky router to replace the SR203?
Sky told me months ago its due very soon?
And it would hopefully solve my ongoing issues with the 60%+ bandwidth/speed dropping when connecting a qbox or wifi booster

I phoned up sky and spoke to technical in bulgaria last week to enquire about the new sky router.
i was excited as Its available! - but i got the followiong response:
1) the engineer on the phone accepted and know of the issue where my speed drops to 40% when sky devices are hard wired plugged in to my network and wifi is not that stable! - he says sky are refusing to accept the fault so it will never be fixed!
2) he said I can have the new router but the new router is not compatible with Sky Q? (wired or wifi)
and i would have to switch to sky glass or sky stream - I cant logically comprehend this?
3) he suggested i could buy and swap to an ASUS router or similar - dont want to loose the landline, have 2 routers in the system (or spend the cash) - sky routers should work
Can anyone here help/suggest why the new router is incompatible? or is anyone using it with Q?
thanks, Pj

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@misterpj the new SR213 was released last week and I got one myself today. The unit is incompatable with the much older Sky Q mesh as it uses a different mesh system based on technology from Plume. Sky are working to allow the two to work together at which point the unit will be fully launched.
Your issue appears related to shortcomings in the Q mesh and given Sky are pivoting away from satellite systems the amount of development work on Q has reduced significantly so the engineer is probably correct that it wont be fixed.
If you want the Sky landline you will need to keep the Sky hub as the first router however using a third party router in a double NAT set up works for many it all depends on the apps you use.
