Alarm linked to phone advice
I am looking to fitca personal alarm at my Mothers which is linked to her Internet and in turn would phone myself in the event of the alarm activated.
She has the black standard Sky Broadband Hub
However, before i purchase all the alarms I am looking at state for 2.4 kHz only........Is that OK for this hub ?

Re: Alarm linked to phone advice
2.4Ghz, I'd think.
Current Sky Hub models broadcast the same WiFi network name on both 2.4Gzh and 5Ghz by default, which can confuse some 2.4Ghz-only devices.
In addition the Sky Max Hub doesn't permit band separation and renaming.

Re: Alarm linked to phone advice
The Sky Broadband Hub permits band splitting and renaming.
Note that if you tell Sky an alarm system is present (or that you are thinking of getting one) then they are likely to refuse to supply broadband at all: Ofcom insists that ISPs proceed with extreme caution in those circumstances.
