Advice needed for non sky booster

Hi

As most know the sky booster is not suitable for sky broadband ultrafast plus, unless you are happy to have a fifth of the speed you're paying for when linking to a sky booster.

So I'm looking to purchase a booster that works effortlessly with sky and will extend the WiFi with at least 350mbs.  Can anyone with experience make a recommendation please?

Thank you

@KenM13 Sky boisters can be used with any Sky service but like, all wifi boisters they have limitations as they work by receiving thecsignal from the hhub and rebroadcasting it to devices within range. Due to the fact they need bandwidth for the backhaul connection to the hub they can only offer speeds roughly 50% of the speed they receive. While they can help in some citcumstances they cannot offer speeds of 350Mb/s.

Sky hubs offer some mesh capabilities shen combined with both Sky Q tv boxes and where required Sky boosters which then use multiple paths back to the hub which gave me speeds up to 200Mb/s when I had that system. To get reliable wifi speed higher than that you will need to buy extra kir. You can use most Sky boosters in bridge mode where the booster is connected by erhernet either directly or via powerline adapters to the hub which also improves speeds beare though as Sky's current batch lack an ethernet port.

I have found that its a.better option is to buy a whole home wifi mesh system which I run in access point mode with the Sky hub's wifi switched off. My system is wifi5 and offers me ample bandwidth with a minimum of 250Mb/s in the furthest part of my home which is more than enough for zny devices - streaming UHD video requires no more than 30Mb/s fewxa-ps can use speeds higher than 150Mb/s. If you are detrmined to get higher speeds buy a wifi6 capable system but expect to pay a significant premium.

Setting up such a system in Access. Point is simplest but there are other options of either replacing yhe Sky hub and connecting directly to the ONT or connecting the two systems in a double NAT configuration but each does introduce complications.
