Advantages of harmonising 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi n/w's in Sky hub?
What are the advantages of having a common SSID for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks and harmonising the settings between them? So in my computer, for example, in the list of available networks, would only one Sky hub n/w be displayed, and what determines whether the computer connects to the 2.4 or the 5 n/w?
Secondary question: I've currently got the 2.4 and 5 networks defined with separate SSID's but if I wanted to disable one or the other of these networks, how would I do this in the Sky hub admin interface?
Third question: I read somewhere that Sky Q box only runs on 2.4GHz. But I then read somewhere else that it will run on 5GHz but only if the BB provider is Sky. Which is correct?
Fourth question: My Sky Q box seems to have an affinity of the 2.4 network. But streaming seems juddery compared so I thought I'd connect it to the 5GHz network. However, 'Network Settings' doesn't give a list of available wifi networks like I get with my laptop, phone, etc.... So how do I go about it?

Yeah its just an auto switch depending on the distance your device is from the hub.

On the hubs admin interface you need to go to either the 2.4ghz tab or 5ghz tab & untick the broadcast SSID option and enable AP option

Sky Q boxes will only connect to a 2.4ghz signal. However if you are using a Sky router with synced SSIDs it will take advantage of both bands for connection & backhaul connectivity for the hotspot functionality.

You don't. If you have split your WiFi bands your Sky Q box will not connect to the 5ghz SSID.

Can you tell me where I'd find the enable AP option, please?
