Hi,
I have recently set up my Sky Hub SR203 with a Asus RT-AX58U to vastly improve my wifi single and speed. I have turn off the all Wifi signals on my sky hub to avoid interference with the access point and have connected devices to the access point. All going well with high speeds apart from my connection with the Sky Q box.
I have reset my connects on the Sky Q box wifi several times and connected it to my access point. All connects and works but then it cuts out and the Sky Q box automatically tries to connect back to the sky hub picking up its name, but can't connect as I disable the Wifi on the sky hub.
Why does the Sky Q keep trying to pick up an old connect point? Cant figure it out.
I also cant ethernet the Sky Q box due to its location from the router. So have to be wifi.

It will keep its 5GHz band hotspot which will carry the Sky Hub's old SSID which is there to connect with any Sky Q mini boxes you have. Those cannot link to the Asus wifi. If you have no Q minis then you can disable the 5GHz wifi on the main box by going into the enginerrs menu sccessed by navigating to Settings but entering 0,0,1 before select. Leave the 2.4GHz band on though.

Thanks, I have a sky Q mini upstairs. If i disable the 5GHz band on the main box, will the mini not work?
Any other work arounds to stop it trying to reconnect to the sky hub? Wifi channel change prehaps?
I only have the sky hub connected due to phone line. I have read the the Asus Router could be connected direct to the ONT and work with sky broadband without then need of their hub.

Hi Hayden23
did you ever find a workaround for this? I have exactly the same problem, but have a ubiqiti wireless AP.

Hi
My problem is that the sky hub box keeps knocking off the wireless access point signal. I need to stop the sky hub from interfering and pushing my access point network off as the sky hub box signal is so poor hence why I set up the wireless access points
