A phone call from an unidentified company told me our IP had gone from private to public.

I don't know what the message means. I'm an OAP and not techy at all.  I think it is as a fraudulent phone call but I'm worried that simething might be wrong with our Sky inter service.  
can anyone help, please.

@JayAnnStar  Sky nor any other broadband provider would call you like this, the caller will most likely have been a scammer.

 

Did you you provideand details or give them access to your ipad?  If not then you should be ok.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
