3rd party router details

Hi

Appologies if this has been asked previously, however strugglging to find the correct answers.

Looking to move to Sky Broadband, however wish to use my own router.

1. Can I use a 3rd party router (TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro ) on FTTP.

2. Is it a ppoe config? if so what is the sky username and password?

Thanking in advance.

Thanks

@Grampians

The settings need to be DHCP Option 61 or, on about 80% of exchanges, DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation (PD), which some TP-Link routers support correctly but doesn't always work with the broadband exchange but is worth trying on the TP-Link router connected to the ONT.

Re: 3rd party router details

You may have to plug it in at the back of the sky router turn off WiFi on the sky router that's what I have been doing but I don't have tp-link ones I have mesh Wi-Fi
