2nd router to retain landline on FTTP connection
HI,
I have just had FTTP fitted with a ISP Sky Hub, The Sky hub is missing features I would like and want to keep my existing VR600 running my network. Anyone know the steps to set the VR600 up as a 2nd router? Was going to add it to the Sky Hub DMZ.
I require the Sky Hub to be the connection to the ONT fibre connection to retain the Land Line phone connection but don't want it as my main router. (It does not support Modem Mode)
What I believe I should do is
Sky Hub IP Range - 192.168.0.1
VR600 LAN/WiFi Range 10.1.1.1 for example
VR600 WAN 192.168.0.2
1 - Set the VR600 WAN IP as the DMZ address on the Sky Hub
2 - Set the VR600 to Wireless Route Mode of operation
3 - Set the Internet settings IP as 192.168.0.1
4 - DNS Settings on VR600 ? (Tried google's 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4)
Any advise on settings to retain the VR600 router features and co exist with the Sky Hub.
Im aware of Double NAT but not sure if it will be a problem

Re: 2nd router to retain landline on FTTP connection
Hi @tobym
You have pretty much got the right config, as you say it will be double NAT but not much of an issue if you dont game or host public facing services.
Assuming you are turning off the Sky hubs WiFi radios so they dont clash with your other router?
