2.4 ghz SSID not visible, devices disconnecting
So, I've read loads of posts here regarding separation of 2.4 and 5GHz channels but I'm having a problem that I haven't read about elsewhere... please can you help?
I have factory reset my Sky Hub (SR203) and have separated the frequencies, renaming the 5GHz SSID and leaving the 2.4 as default. I am able to connect 2 x Ring doorbells and a Ring chime (all of which require 2.4 GHz frequency) but they don't remain connected for more than a few minutes.
When scanning for wi-fi networks on my phone, only the 5GHz remains visible, The 2.4 drops in and out which I think is causing my devices to drop connection. Why is this happening? Any ideas appreciated!

@ca_pegler Did you split the Wi-Fi bands to enable you to see the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency as a separate SSID?

@Highlinder yes. It's visible as an available network, and then it isn't and then it is, etc.

@ca_pegler Did you do the split within the Wi-Fi tab?

@Highlinder yes. Didn't realise there was another way... have I overlooked something?

@ca_pegler Does it show you any error when you save the changes? How is the device connected that you are using to try and make these changes with?

@ca_pegler I take it you re-named it something that you would only know. Which browser are you using to try and make these changes with?

Re: 2.4 ghz SSID not visible, devices disconnecting
@Highlinder yes. Used the default name and put 24 on the end.... Browser = Chrome (of course 🙂 )
As a sort of solution, I've disabled the 5GHz wifi so everything uses 2.4. Don't know why I didn't think of that sooner. It seems just as fast for regular browsing and I'm having none of the connection issues.

@ca_pegler Glad to see that you got some sort of solution from it. Not ideal, but if it works.
