1 step change over has my debit been cancelled automatically after swithcing to a new supplier

Ive recently changed broad band supplier .I am told  by my new supplier  that one switch when initiated this automatocaly stops sky broad band  charges ,I want to know if it defiantley has stopped charges from my direct debit ,and how can I see the evidence .

If you next bill had already been created because you transferred elsewhere then it will need to be paid before it can be refunded.
