volume fjnction not working on sounbar bar but works with normal tv speakers.

sounbar connected to tv with optical connection but can't use volume to function sounbar with sky hd remote. it works when soundbar connected with aux or if im using normal tv speakers. code for polaroid sounbar can't be located. is there a way around this?

You could try the codes known to work with other sound systems as listed here, but there's no guarantee that any of them will work. The only other solution might be to invest in a one-for-all remote capable of controlling multiple devices.
