no satellite signal

I live in the west of Ireland and throughout this year, there have been recurring problems with BBC4 (as in Channels 143 and 833) and CNN (Channels 506 and 884).  Less often, Channel 4 + 1 and Euronews are affected.  In all these instances, I'm told that my Sky + box is not getting a satellite signal even though other channels are working normally.

I'm one of the people who enjoyed access to Classic FM and other radio stations via Sky and was disappointed when they were summarily withdrawn late last year.

Needless to remark, there was no reduction in my direct debit to Sky.  In fact, the charge went up in April with the promise that I would have access to boxed sets - a promise which has still to be fulfilled despite the increase being paid each month.

Now, I'm thinking it may be time to move on from Sky as getting through to someone on the telephone is like pulling teeth.  Am I the only one out there who's fed up with the service?

Satellite signal problems are the result of an issue with your dish or cabling from the dish. Book an engineer and they'll be able to pinpoint the issue and fix it.

The decision to withdraw channels earlier in the year was made by the channel owners, over which Sky had no control, mainly on the basis that after Brexit they did not wish to obtain the required license to continue broadcasting in the ROI. That's a matter you may wish to take up with the channel owners.

If ypu've been switched to the Signature package you have access by default to box sets in standard definition.
