Re: itv hub on sky glass

I think the problem largely lies with ITV Hub - I dont really see why it whould be necessary to pay an additional £40 just to fix this - I dont particalrly mind having to sity through adds (and make a cup a)

This together with the ability not to organise/delete playlist items almost made us return it - I certainly have told a few people not to bother with sky glass yet.

Re: itv hub on sky glass

ITV Hub is an abomination on every platform. I'm currently working on a new show for ITV and every other person I know who works for them don't have a single good word to say about it, including the presenter and the channel commissioner!

It's merely a portal for advertising revenue above everything else.

Re: itv hub on sky glass

Did you resolve this? We are having issue whereby each time we click to watch itv hub it turns the TV off! Very random

Re: itv hub on sky glass

@fizzdisco  which makes you wonder why they are being so stupidly insistent on having it on the Sky Glass platform instead of allowing cloud recording / integration.

Glass would be a lot better if the terestrial channels were all integrated like everything else, I've got used to them now but they are a pain to do the basics like FF / REW

Re: itv hub on sky glass

No, not sorted, been having problems for weeks. It's driving me crazy! I have even tried to call itv on the recommended number, however get a message saying they can't take my call right now as due to covid they have all been forced to work from home! Not helpful!

Re: itv hub on sky glass

Try doing 0 0 0 0 7 7 7 after opening ITV Hub. Then turn off puck at mains for a bit and restart. Fixed for me.

ITV advised me to do this.

Re: itv hub on sky glass

So can I ask when you input these numbers do you just press the numbers on your remote when you are on any program on the itv app ? And what aspects of the problems we are having with itv does it fix because I'll definitely give this a go if it fixes some of the things I hate about this channel

also what can you do to fix it on your sky glass tv 📺

@Samantha.perkins1

To enter the code you must open itv hub and once in the homepage enter 0 0 0 0 7 7 7

The code above only clears the app, it will remove cached data and ask you login again. - it doesn't fix anything per-se

Re: itv hub on sky glass

@Samantha.perkins1  This code in itv hub doesn't do anything for the ITV channel itself, it only repairs the caches on the app.

Re: itv hub on sky glass

Since the 4.09 update ITV hub was crashing every time I watched it after maybe 30 mins. Going to a black screen, and had to reboot the puck to recover.

since doing this process, it hasn't done it.

so it's fixed something.

Re: itv hub on sky glass picture

Slight improvement. While watching itv. Press home, settings, picture and sound, picture. Then where it says default streaming format, turn from auto to uhd

Re: itv hub on sky glass

@Anonymous Yes itv hub is a terrible picture on the recent sky glass TV I've just bought. I pay for it hub + to save getting adverts and add programs to my play list as I don't always want to watch it live. It's ruining Corrie for me as the picture is very fuzzy. I've recently joined Sky and I never found this issue with Virgin media. I find 4 on demand fine and BBC I player. Hope this gets sorted as the idea of getting this TV was for a better quality picture as its apparently advertised to do🤔

We have the same issue

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

ITV Hub is due to be replaced by ITVX on December 8th: as such no fixes for Hub are going to happen.

Re: itv hub on sky glass

I've had Glass now for almost a year. For the first year Sky haven't been charging me £5 for the ability to fast forward through the adverts. I hope they don't want to start charging me once the first year is up because it is absolutely useless!! I reckon it takes longer to fast forward than it would to just watch the adverts!! Really rubbish. I know it's probably not skys issue but still it is crap!!
