every time it rains sky goes off why?

Hi. every time it rains our sky goes off, this is happening all the time and has done for years its about time sky did something about it, we have to switch to antenna which works in all weathers but we cant get sky on it, i am paying extra to sky for these programmes but whats the point if we cant watch it? what are you doing about it

It's not uncommon to lose the signal in torrential rain or heavy snow, simply because the signal from the satellites is obstructed and reflected. But that should be rare - a handful of times per year. If it's happening more frequently in less severe weather,  there's  a problem with your dish and you need to book an engineer to put it right.
