catch up and freezing

We have had sky glass now for a few weeks with several issues not being sorted although we have phoned Sky customer service 

1)How do I get an episode of a programme I have missed and  cannot find it . Have added series Ragdoll to my planner but it just shows from episode 2 I just cannot get it to find episode 1 , however episode1 is on Sky Go on IPad.

2)screen freezes , dialogue still on by picture freezes, have to turn TV of

3)on sky Q I could  jump through the days  for the next 7 days by just using a button , with glass I have do it manually hour by hour , day by day

4) although we  live in SW England our ITV local news is broadcast from Birmingham  now with Birmingham topics , our local Bristol station  HTV has disappeared

5)  Stand by light flashes and tv won't switch on , I have to turn of at switch and turn on again

6) Navigation around the playlist more complicated ,  won't let me delete a series if I have lost interest and not finished all episodes . if I have just looked at a programme although not added to playlist it then appears on list which looks very cluttered .

Sorry lots of questions , but getting a bit frustrated and wishing we had never bought TV

have checked my broadand and it shows as speed very fast

Hi,

 

I can't answer all your questions as I only got Sky Glass on Saturday myself. I guess I am lucky as so far not had to reboot the TV once. Having some issues with the speed of the puck coming out of standby and a delay after turning the tv on before the UI responds but nothing is consider a show stopper.

 

Questions I can answer below:

 

1) this seems to be an issue with that particular show that Sky or UKTV need to resolve. The episode is missing from my glass too.

 

2) Had screen freeze on ITV for a few seconds and then caught up. However others are reporting changing channel fixes the issue.

 

3) You can navigate by day by holding the right hand side of the circle on the remote for a few seconds and a pop up with the next days appears for you to choose.

 

4) Having this issue. I live in Wales and getting ITV Central. Apparently ITV regions are limited and ITV and Sky are working to fix, hopefully soon.

 

I've not experienced the issues in 5 and 6 so can't help, sorry.

Have you tried watching ime a celeb, it's more like Game for a laugh, Stuttering, Spluttering, Freezing, apart from that is wonderful......Not.

Yes watched it Sunday Night, Monday Night and watching it with the wife now. Zero issues experienced.

 

out of interest what broadband service, router and speed do you have? I am wondering if Sky have massive underestimated the connectivity requirements. 

Hope it improves for those having issues 🙂

We are with YouFibre current download speed around 600 Mbps, our issues are with the Pucks, our glass tv upstairs is fine.

Thanks for your help I have just tried your suggestions for Q3 and it's worked 👍👍

my speed is Download 25.61 and upload 4.18 , provider is utility warehouse .

Same problem with Ragdolll. Added it to playlist before e1 and it was on there next day. But e2 overwrote e1 before I watched it and it cannot be accessed. Very frustrating and a compatibility problem with playlist and the programme. Hope they resolve as dont want to resort to tablet to watch programmes I should be able to watch on Glass. 

 

If you keep pressing ff on TV guide you can choose a day.

 

ITV news only has certain areas broadcast on Internet. I don't get Anglia. ITV issue and the said they should have all regions available 2022.

Update on response from Sky- DON,T PURCHASE SKY GLASS 😡😡😡😡

Just come of the phone to Sky transferred to 4 different departments before I could actually get to speak someone , spoke to CS 2 weeks into having glass installed , foolishly gave away our old Sony Bravia TV . The only issue that has been resolved is Q3 which was resolved by one of the kind users in this forum. . We have been told that sky glass does not have all of the licenses to show some of the programmes we previous watched eg  ( HTV LOCAL NEWS) , the don't know why we can't get episode 1 of rag doll , they  said freezing is sometimes an issue but can't help . The only way to stop the LED flashing is to turn of at mains wait and turn on again, we were told there were teething problems with Glass but they would be sorted but could not give us a time frame . I asked for a discount as , we were never told of these issues when we signed up, I have been a SKY customer   for 19 years and we are getting a poorer service than when we had SKYQ , and paying more for it . We were told no , and we cannot get out of the contract as we are now just over a month from signing. Even although we originally complained within 2 weeks of having Glass installed , and were told  our issues were being looked at , now over a month later it's still the same . An additional issue is that when we record some programmes they are not as clear as watching live , another issue that SKY confirmed they were having with ITV HUB . 
my advice is don't buy , but if you do make sure you are happy with it in the first month, don't believe SKY when they say technical issues will be resolved, then refuse to take back or even fix  when they aren't . Would you buy an oven then find out once installed that the grill does not work because they haven't got a license for it, but we're not told this at time of purchase .
