Wifi dropping

Since Saturday the SkyQ box is constantly losing connectivity to wifi. (I don't have any mini boxes.) STB is approx 3 meters from wifi router.

No other wifi device in the house has any connectivity problem.

ISP is with virgin media and hub in modem mode, been using own wifi-router with SkyQ without issues for the last 3 years.

Using channel 11 on 2.4ghz as hardly anyone using that around here. Even done a factory reset on router but still SkyQ losing connectivity.

The only way I can get it to reconnect is by resetting network and connecting to wifi again.

Anyone know why it keeps losing connection?

@YZK if you have not already donecso use a wifi analyzer app on a mobile device to see if one of your neighbours' network has switched to a channel that interferes remember signal on chs10 and 12 will interfere with 11 as will a string signal on ch9 and 13 to some extent.

Re: Wifi dropping

Since the boxes are fairly close to each other, it might be an idea to run and ethernet cable between the router and Sky Q box.  If this connection is the only one failing, then it seems the simplest option.

Re: Wifi dropping

I'll try analysing the wifi channel, was avoiding cabling at it' box is recessed in the wall with the TV but will patch it in if needed.
