Why does ‘pause’ bar need to be so large 🤔🤔

An ongoing frustration for me is the size and opacity of the pause bar that appears on the lower 15% of the screen.
Many users  like myself will use the pause function to check out and analyse things like medal table or football league positions but are severely hindered by having to try and view the information through the pause bar/banner, call it what you will.

As little info is given on the pause bar there would be nothing lost by Sky reducing the height of the bar by 75% .

Am I a line voice on this one??

@Yatsey Are you aware that once you've paused the screen, if you press the dismiss button once, the pause bar disappears?
