I think some people just like moaning 🤣
I hate moaning. I'm not making up all the stuff I've posted in this thread. The product simply doesn't work if you want to timeshift sport. And the tv guide doesn't work properly.
Can I ask, what's "time shifting sport" actually mean? , I've found myself watching quite a bit of football/sport last few weeks, stream appears , to me , to handle it really well , picture is great, no stuttering, genuinely really pleased with it 👍

Watching live sports broadcasts, but not "live". Be it while the live event is still happening or just after its finished. Sky Glass/Stream is not reliable enough to be able to guarantee doing that.

Timeshifting is simply watching at a different time to the actual live broadcast.
For example if there's cricket in Australia that starts in the middle of the night I'd record it on my Q box and start watching when I wake up with a nice cup of tea.
Similarly the US PGA golf isn't watchable live as there are about 20 minutes of adverts every hour, so if the programme starts at 7pm I'll start watching about 9pm and by the time the broadcast ends at 11pm I'll have caught up with live.
The former is simply not possible with Stream as the matches are not appearing in my playlist of 'recordings'. The latter only works if I tune to the channel and press 'watch from start' while trying to avoid the scores.
I've no complaints at all about the picture - that's as good as, if not better than, Sky HD broadcasts via satellite.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?
@Ed.B. @oj01 @CardiffMan1992 but isn't that just the same as watching any other program you missed the start of ? We missed the start of dr who last weekend but just hit "watch from the start" and all good 👍
tbh I don't treat sport the same as TV programs , if I've missed the start of a football match I just watch it from whenever, so maybe that's why I've not seen any issue

Watch from start works great.
Adding cricket matches to the playlist and it being marked as 'series added' does not.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?
Another annoyance. I have just started watching the Liv Golf on YouTube, but using the app via the puck the sound is massively out of sync with the pictures. This isn't the case if I watch YouTube any other way, such as my phone or the app on my TV.

Yes you can 90% of the time. For example Have I Got News For You was not available until 15 mins after broadcast last night.

@Anonymous
Thanks, on Q you can only "Watch from the start" on BBC & Sky channels, not itv, ch4 or ch5

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?
Stream works differently as it takes the program from either the Sky Cloud or broadcaster apps, so if the stream is loaded from the start you can start watching as in watch from start. This is for most channels including itv, 4 & 5.
But it can be hit n miss!
