When I switch on Sky Q, it goes direct to Amazon Prime's front page. Pressing Home will eventually produce Sky Q's Home Page. Once there, the problem does not repeat itself. I have checked that I am signed out of Amazon Prime.

Hi I have not come across such behaviour before.
May I suggest you try a power down restart of your box :
Use the remote to place it into standby mode
Then remove the power to it (either switch off at mains or remove the power plug)
Wait at least 30s
Then re-apply the power & wait for it to fully restart - this may take a few minutes.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@MGTHMine does that if I have been using the app in the TV rather than the app in the Q box.
It seems that if I don't go back into the home screen on the TV after watching Prime when I want to use the Q box HDMI control (CEC) does not work correctly and although it turns the TV on it does not switch it to the correct HDMI input but goes back to the app last used (this happens with all apps on the TV not just Prime)
My TV is a Sony buy no idea if that makes any difference.

Thanks, that works. I did the same to the smart TV too, in case that had anything to do with it.
