This is more a question about information as a problem has not occured... yet.
I have just transferred two numbers from O2. They were on the same account and as such i was only given one PAC Code to use.
The first Sim transferred without any errors but the second did error out with "something went wrong"
Anyway, i redid the second sim using the Transfer number option, used the same PAC code and this time it didnt error, BUT i have only received a text message about number transfer on one number (the primary account number).
Now i dont know if this is because the transfer has not gone head for the second number, Or because it was an additional number on the same account as primary number, it wont get the text at all anyway.
Anyone had the same issue or been in the same boat?

So for anyone who comes across this:
The answer is that one PAC code will in fact do two phones.
When i look at MySky mobile account i can see both SIMs with the correct ported number 🙂
However, all this prep and planning and i still forgot to make sure both phones were unlocked before doing this. So a quick call to O2 to explain and they have started the unlock process, just means i have to wait longer to use the new SIM cards.

Posted by a Sky employeeHi @meaga-byte o2 should of issued you with a different PAC code for each number you are transferring. Please contact o2 for another PAC code for the number that has not transferred and is still active with them.
Hope this helps

Hi Green,
Thanks for the info,
i did question this several times while on the phone to O2.
There isnt a problem yet but as you said maybe i should have been given two PACs.

Just Phoned o2 who confirmed that when a single account has two numbers, they only provide one PAC code.
So their sugestion was to phone sky lol.

Posted by a Sky employee@meaga-byte a single pac code is required for each Sky sim card/plan you want to transfer a none Sky number to, if o2 customer services wont help you with this try Texting PAC to 65075 to receive a PAC Code from o2 using the sim that's number has not transferred.
Hope this helps

Hi @meaga-byte, this is really helpful.
I have 2 SKY SIM cards with different plans. I am transferring 2 numbers from O2.
You used the same PAC code when activating both SIM cards. You say you had to apply them one after the other.
Which number from your old provider was applied first? I want to ensure that the right number is applied to the correct SIM only plan.
Your help is nuch appreicated.

Hi @srfish and welcome.
that is a very good question but i must admit i dont know which went first. Both my O2 and Sky sims where and are on the same tarrif so it didnt matter which went on first.
Do you already have the SKY sims? if not maybe take out two base tarrifs, get them transfered over and then upgrade the one in question.
From memory and this was a while ago, when doing the transfer i think you need to enter the old and new phone number so this way it lets you pick which sim to put a certain number onto.
If all goes wrong im sure a quick call to sky would get one sim upgraded and the other downgraded.
