So why are you so supportive of a sub optimal product?

@Clare+Cullen Like you we can also express our opnions in what is a public forum. You don't need to agree with another persons viewpoint.
Or would you prefer everyone to agree with you?

I'd quite like a sky rep to reply rather that people deployed on their behalf to balance views. I would hugely value returning to the old system, but they have told me we are too late. So customer centric.
@Clare+Cullen if you're prepared to keep the tv you still have the option of cancellling the tv subscription element and reverting back to Q which will connect to the glass tv via hdmi

Ok, I appreciate that. Tell me what's better than the previous service?

Re: The stream is delayed compared to Sky Q and Sky +
@Clare+Cullen It depends on what you want from a service, it sounds like a streaming service maybe isn't for you.
Sky Q has worked well for many years and you get all the content you previously had including UHD on the main box. If Q suited your needs I would revert back to that.
Q gives you recording to a Hard drive, Glass does not (it uses playlists).
Q delivers live channels via Satellite, Glass does not.
Q has more channels than Glass currently.

And I note nothing was suggested as how this is better than a prior service 😂

@Clare+Cullen As already advised it is down to what YOU want from a service.

Re: The stream is delayed compared to Sky Q and Sky +
That's not an answer. Would anyone want to pay more for 2 min live delay, crap on demand via tv apps, and poor visual quality.
I'll stop there and for a second time try to take my issues up with sky, but so far they don't seem to value customers of 12 years V maintaining a poor service they've sold in: I'm sorry - but I don't understand why anyone would take this over sky Q. There ar e zero benefits and a lot of pitfalls. By the way, I work in Customer Relations, so I know exactly what is happening here.

Re: The stream is delayed compared to Sky Q and Sky +
@Clare+Cullen I've already advised you we are customers here, like you. We don't need to explain anything for Sky. We are not Sky's spoke persons.
Likewise other customers don't need to explain themselves if they like Glass, that is their personal choice, as it is also yours to return Glass and revert to Sky Q.
Once you understand that maybe you can move forward and speak to Sky about your issues.

@Jporch316 It's mainly noticeable if you have mobile notifications setup such as goal/wicket alerts you will get them on your device before you see them happen on the tv screen

@Jporch316 Don't blame you and is probably why you don't notice anything wrong with the glass stream
mobile notifications will almost certainly appear before any live over the internet broadcast regardless of provider as it's the nature of the system compared to satellite broadcast

Re: The stream is delayed compared to Sky Q and Sky +
I use the bbc app notifications for Liverpool - got them all turned off apart from "line ups" - I turn them back on if I'm out and about
no dramas
streaming will be the de facto tv delivery system within 5 years - we need to adapt ........
