Recently I've been getting personalised text messages to my mobile requesting feedback on the sky service. Only thing is I haven't actually been in touch with Sky.
So, is this just generic spam trying to get cash out of my replies by charging for the replies, or has someone got my details and been ringing up, or what? It's odd as my name is spelled incorrectly on my account and the texts use the incorrect spelling.
I wish there was a way of contacting Sky quickly to just ask if someone really did make contact about my account - the help is useless.
Anyone else had this?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@DeeplyConfused If you have not contact Sky for any reason then it's highly likely that it's a scam as there would be no genuine reason for the text to be sent imo

Hi, thanks for responding 🙂 It is most likely a scam, yes, although unusual for a scam to contain incorrectly spelled personal details which match the account. I'll get those changed I think!
Have blocked the number and deleted the messages anyway but intrigued.
Looking up the number it came from on the whocalledme site and it shows half scam, half people thinking it is Sky as they had made contact! Interesting. If it is a genuine SKy number I hope they are aware someone is misusing it alongside their genuine messages.
Thanks again.
