Re: TechRadar Review

Let's see what John Archer and Vincent have to say. I trust their views.

I can't see it being only 300nits,I'll wait for the What Hifi review haha who cares about the Nit count I still say the picture looks good

Considering the TV has a maximum (reported on here) 630 nits SDR peak brightness, I'm actually surprised it's reached as high as 300 for HDR. I'm presuming that was for on-demand because I'll be amazed if it's as high as that for live Sky Sports content.

To get anywhere near the required brightness for HDR content, you need to achieve around 650 nits at a minimum. The brighter the better but 650 nits is generally regarded as the minimum accepted.

Considering this is a Sky TV, and TV content - including HDR - is their game, I can't believe how wrong they've got this whole thing.

@Technologywizzard  People are always going to have different views to you good or bad right or wrong, you don't need to be disrespectful when it happens, life's too short. Be happy with your on view and don't worry about what others think 👍

@Urban+Splash  Who do they review for? Are they a team or review for different magazines?

it's funny with reviews though for anything, .. I love listening to the pilot TV podcast, find their TV program reviews spot on and aligned with what I like to watch, but occasionally I think blimey, was they watching the same thing I was... lol

Either way good to see reviews starting to come in, with this one I'd say, being a bit more positive.

Re: TechRadar Review

@M3rk@Urban+Splash Both reviews are good, don't jump into the tech details too much, but give a good overview of the product.  The Independents comparison between Glass and Q is good and hopefully it will help those who are not sure.  Cinema Choice (John Archer) will be more of a technical review and will probably discuss nits! etc. where as these two reviews are more for the main stream user.  Also a point noted in the Express (and elsewhere on the forums) about a software update to address brightness.  Wish they would sort the enhanced experience out, thought that was a godd feature that worked until last weeks update.

Re: TechRadar Review

The express would be the last place I'd go to for a review, most reviews I go off are from What hifi,as for the firmware update will be interesting to see what it does

@Sarakale lol I wouldn't go near it for anything....

Its interesting that the wired review has been posted twice, and the independent, which was another positive one has gone largely unnoticed. I suppose at the end of the day people will gravitate towards views that aligne with their own👍

Re: TechRadar Review

@M3rk  Yep they do instead of reading reviews people should make up their own mind, instead of all the negative comments on here, seems like there's a lot of people who are just joining the forum just to bash the tv,getting a bit boring now all the similar posts
