Re: Support with your Sky bill

Hello,

I tried to phone earlier but was unsuccessful. My bill is due on the 5th May but due to a direct debit coming out I am unable to pay the full amount until the following day the 6th. I have been a customer with yourselves for years and have paid a bill late before so just wondered where this puts me with my services etc? Will they be cut off instantly? I tried to change the payment date online but there wasnt enough notice to change it for this month.

@G1223 Sky's billing system is automated and it's hard to be certain exactly what will happen and when. But my understanding is that usually, if a direct debit is not paid on the date it's due, Sky will ask for it again about 2 weeks later. If it's again not paid, it's only at that point that your services are suspended. So providing there are funds to meet the payment second time around, you should be ok.

I know owe £202 pounds I don't know why they have suddenly added £155.52 and I cant even contact anyone about it...

Try and contact Sky support if you can't see where that has come from.

I cant seem to get any option to contact them

Re: Support with your Sky bill

@skynut1973  Use the phone to contact Sky, ignore the message and don't select any of the options. One caveat, if your account is not up to date Sky will often not talk to you until you have paid the outstanding amount. Hope you get this sorted.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

@skynut1973 , contact customer services either by phone or recorded post stating your position. They may have billed you for the remainder of your contract. You need to discuss with them and hopefully get a good solution for you. Good luck

Re: Support with your Sky bill

My Sky TV bill is absolutely flying through the roof due to a few discounts that have expired. We usually pay £56 a month, this went down to £35 after I paused Sky, but this month is going back up to £55 and next month it'll be £75!

My partner is considered vulnerable but I haven't had any luck in getting through to Sky's Sales/Retention Team. Any ideas if I should keep trying or do I just have to accept that it's going to be really expensive until the pandemic is over?

Have you checked to see what you online bill says for the June bill as it might be that Sky hasn't yet added the paused Sky Sports to it.

Re: Unable to make payment

I agree with you because unless they have contacted and given vulnerable and key workers a special number, they won't be able to contact sky either.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Sky Sports has been paused and removed from the bill. It's because I have had a couple of discounts like free HD and boxsets on there which have now expired, and usually I just ring up to discuss it with them to see what they can do because I'm not comfortable going from £56 up to £75.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

I am unable to Contact Sky, but Sky thinks it is OK to take money from my account, Installation of equipment has not been done yet so why are you taking money for services not received.

I have cancelled my Direct Debit

I await SKY to contact me for a refund

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Hi,

Like everyone I am finding it difficult to keep up with bills at this time.  I was looking to reduce my TV package but I can't delete Sky Cinema online.  Can it be done another way?  Are there any other ways I can reduce my bill? I don't really want to have to cancel my Sky TV altogether.

Thanks  H

@LEVENFORD+LADIES to downgrade your Sky package or see what else they might be able to  offer you, give them a call. Although they're prioritising keyworkers etc, Sky are taking calls from others too. Just wait without responding to the recorded message and you'll be in the queue.
