Suddenly getting Out of Range message on TV with Sky Q main box

I have been successfully watching Sky Q on an old Sony Bravia TV for years.  Over the last few days the picture has been cutting out intermittently and then yesterday after it had cut out I got the message "Out of range" on my TV screen.  I looked on the community and followed several suggestions, ie I connected the main Sky Q box to my other TV and checked the resolution and it was OK but still not a great picture.  I then tried the HOME - 1080-HOME thing and that didn;t work.  I know that it's a problem between the main box and the TV bit cannot solve the problem  I can now only watch TV through my Amazon Firestick on various Hubs.  The Sky Q minbox in the bedroom is working perfectly.  It is SO frustrating.  Any suggestions? 🤔

On Sony Bravia TV the out of Range message means "The Out of Range message is normally due to resolution. ... Set the required display resolution."

As I said I connected the box to another TV and checked the resolution (1080i). I'm not sure what the resolution problem is? Or am I just being thick?😕

HI @delisha53 I am guessing you have tried but just in case you haven't try a different cable & a different HDMI port on your Bravia

Just one further thought - have you tried completely powering off your TV (i.e. unplug rather than just place in standby)

I've had same problem when my Samsung t.v broke & I plugged my q box into an older sony t.v (720p )  , I just unplugged my q box took it to my neighbours (who had newer t.v than me) then changed to resolution settings on the box to the required settings for my older t.v
