Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

The Playlist doesn't always have subitles.  The original programme when screened live has subtitles.  Add it to your playlist, play it back, no subtitles. BBC through iPlayer works fine, but not the others. There is no consistency.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

No Playlist comes from the satellite I think. So if you have a BBC programme on your playlist, you watch it through iPlayer.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

Me too!  Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year is in UHD and I can't get it to play with subtitles when on my Playlist.  I change the setting to HD as only HD is subtitled and it still doesn't show the subtitles.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

That's a good idea, I think I'll complain too. I'm missed so many programmes I would usually watch.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

The problem is more serious than that.  Simply selecting subtitles does not solve the problem.

Thanks for that, much appreciated.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

Hi,

subtitles have been a nightmare on sky glass tv especially when you go to watch something on other apps and it takes 48 hours or even longer for them to put subtitles on it I wish I knew all these facts before I went with Sky glass at the moment I'm thinking only get sky glass if you need a new tv! Otherwise stick to sky Q!

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

Very disapponted with the lack of subtitles on Sky Cinema on Glass.   I have yet to find a film with subtitles - why is this happening?  Subtitles were available on Sky +.  This is an unfortunate retrograde step.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

I'm so frustrated with my Glass TV. The problems with subtitles just go on, and here's another.  I have Dexter on my Playlist. I've watched previous episodes with subtitles and now trying to watch episode 5 there are no subtitles.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

Subtitles issue: we had sky q never an issue with subtitles  (which we use quite a lot as my wife is hard of hearing) if you record any channel no prob.. upgrade to sky glass an absolute shambles, The only channels guaranteed  to have subtitles  in your playlist will be sky progs. An absolute frigging shambles.  You can put progs into your playlist which have subtitles on but as soon as you try and watch..no subtitles..BBC iPlayer forget subtitles, itvhub, channel 4 or other catchup progs forget it.

If you need to speak to sky op sorry can't give you his number..sky won't  allow..
