Step by step guide needed to remove dish

Bit of a weird one. Hoping we have some sky engineers within the discussion. One of my relatives lives in a rented building and needs an old sky dish removed, willing to pay. Only issue is the owner of the building wants a step by step guide on what will be getting done and how and has stipulated he wants sky to remove it (fairly generic step by steps needed nothing exact needed) e.g. how they will set the ladders on his property, how they will lower the old dish so not to damage anything etc.

I've looked all over for this info and cant find it anywhere

Any help would be apprecaited

Thanks

I'm not sure Sky would remove it - almost certainly not if your relative doesn't have a Sky tv subscription, as the dish is theirs, not Sky's. I suspect, for the level of detail the owner is seeking, they would have to get an independent to do the job anyway, as a site inspection is likely to be necessary before they could tell your relative exactly what would be required. So far as I'm aware, Sky don't carry out preparatory site inspections: they just turn up and do the job.

Re: Step by step guide needed to remove dish

Thanks for the reply. I've been told by an ex sky engineer they have  "safe system of work" they had to follow when installing/removing dishes, thing is he's left the company now so unable to get the detail. The landlord is after a high level review of what would be done, mainly how they would be accessing his property and installing/removing the dish. So hard to get anything though, no emails online and not an everyday ask

Very unlikely that kind of information will be forthcoming from Sky.  As @Mark39 suggests, if there's  no Sky subscription in place at the address then there's no reason they should be helpful: Sky specifically transfer ownership of the dish and cabling to avoid responsibility for this sort of legacy issue.

@darkknightside+1 Is it the landlord who wants it removing or your relative? Just curious as to why it needs removing.

No corporation is likely to have a mechanism to distribute such things outside of their intended audience: there's generally little point badgering front-line support staff if there isn't a fulfillment path they can access.
